Chinese and Art Summer Camp
For ages 6 to 12:
1 p.m. to 4 p.m.,
Weeklong, Monday-Friday.
Fee: $225 per week.
August 3-7, August 10-14
Enroll for 1 or 2 weeks

Learning daily conversation, listening, speaking & writing, songs, games, art,
Chinese calisthenics, t'ai chi sword.

For ages 3 to 5:
9 a.m. to 11 a.m.,
Weeklong, Monday-Friday.
Fee: $150 per week.
August 3-7, August 10-14
Enroll for 1 or 2 weeks

Learning basic conversations,
songs, games, hands-on projects.
Learning Chinese characters;
Parents are welcome to join with their children.

Week 1: Chinese painting/calligraphy; starting a Chinese art portfolio.
Week 2: Chinese art & crafts through the theatre; masks from Chinese opera.
Both weeks: cooking and Asian cuisine.
Week 1: Chinese painting & calligraphy;
producing one's own art album.
Week 2: Theatre crafts; shadow puppetry; hand puppetry; mini-stage design; mask making.
Child-oriented Chinese cooking; ending feast prepared by the children, parents/older siblings invited.
Healthy snacks are provided. Classes in West Brattleboro

The Chinese and Art Summer Camp alternative along with other classes are offered under ACCVT (Asian Cultural Center of Vermont) if there are six or more students enrolled in an individual class or session. The number of enrollees is five or less, that class or session would be privately offered by the presenter. This reckoning is according to ACCVT Board resolution.
